The LG Optimus One - Affordable Smart Phone Experience

By Sebastian Apollonian Xavier

Cell phone, and now smart phone, manufacturers have a daunting task with new design models such as the LG Optimus One Cell Phone. Of course it is perfectly understandable why consumers want the highest degree of quality at the most rock bottom price. Cramming all that processing power in an attractive frame is another challenge altogether. But all businesses have to make sacrifices in order to present the best product they can. Not surprisingly, you will find this principle at work in the LG Optimus One Cell Phone which we will discuss.

The construction of the LG Optimus reflects a continuing trend among smart phone, and cell phone, manufacturers. The Optimus One does not have an all metal exterior casing, but rather it is plastic with some redeeming characteristics. This phone is very light and easy to use, not to mention comfortable to hold. The only challenge that this phone presents is that some of its settings and controls are more difficult to use depending upon your hand size. It is simply a matter of preference and people need to understand that it cannot be designed for everyone. The design and construction of this phone should not be problematic for anyone that uses it. The Optimus One has wireless tethering capability that comes standard which allows for a full range of options and features. Of course that means WiFi and Bluetooth capability which is almost expected by the market, anymore. This unit also comes with a GPS receiver to help you pinpoint locations and destinations that you want to travel to. If memory is important to you on your smartphone, this phone has less than 200 MB which may not be enough. The battery on this unit is actually pretty good; it all depends on what you use the phone for each day. You can probably expect an overnight charge to last an entire day.

There is a reason the Optimus has the name, and we feel it is due to having an optimal smart phone experience in many ways. It doesn't matter what mode you need whether it is for wireless operations, GPS or browsing the internet. Google enhances your experience by providing a mobile platform through the Google services program.

Many times smart phones share similar technologies which is the case with the Optimus One. In the last 10 years, there have been hundreds of improvements in smartphone technology. One implication is the increasingly greater amount of storage ability and usage by people. That necessitates a means for quickly retrieving information, and the Optimus One can help you there. Voice Search is a new technology that has been created to keep your hands free from your device as you search for information. Keywords are essential for utilizing this technology properly as it uses them to do the searches. It is extremely versatile and easy to use after a few tries.

You can interface with Google's Android Market to take advantage of roughly 70K apps. Yes, we know how popular apps are, and we like them ourselves. Before you can enjoy apps, be sure to activate the LG App Advisor. Do some more investigating into the LG because it is a reliable phone that is priced for its intended target market.

Using a smart phone is really a large amount of fun, especially if you have lots of awesome apps. Typically the most popular apps are Symbian applications. Why not acquire some right now?
